Troubleshooting

  • The gem will not build. Check the Core submodule is present. Clone again with --recurse-submodules, or run git submodule update --init.
  • A Transform does not sync, and the log names a missing field. The type lacks the pose fields Net Transform needs. Use “Add a pose…” on the Types page.
  • An Occlusion provider hides nothing, or everything. Box colliders need real dimensions. Non uniform entity scale is ignored by the physics shape at run time.
  • A Dedicated Server feels slow. Set +sv_DedicatedMaxRate 120.
  • A script event never fires. Event names have no spaces, and record, input, desync, state applied and message events need their Enable...Notifications call first.
  • The Schema will not load or change. A Schema can only be changed while no session is running.
  • A LAN game is not found. Discovery is IPv4 only.
  • Your own C++ types collide at run time. Published types need random GUIDs with a unique first 8 hex digits, because of an AZ::Interface collision.
  • gem.json fails to parse in a custom gem. Its text must not contain a semicolon.
