What is the Terms of Service for Heathen's products?
Every purchase option above — Team, Studio, or Partner, subscription or one-time — is governed by the same single agreement: our License and Terms of Service. In short, it’s a perpetual, organization-wide license: whatever you download is yours to keep, and recurring payment only covers ongoing repository access, updates, and support. Is this a subscription? Will I lose access if I cancel?
No — this isn’t SaaS. Your license is perpetual: whatever you’ve downloaded is yours to keep and use indefinitely, even if you never pay again. Recurring payment only covers ongoing access to the live source repository, future updates, and priority support. Cancel anytime; you keep everything you already have, you just stop receiving new updates and repo access going forward.
What's the actual difference between Team and Studio?
Access is identical — same repos, same source, same updates. The price difference is purely an honor-system revenue bracket (Team: under €250k gross annual revenue, Studio: under €10M), not a feature tier. Pick whichever bracket honestly matches your organization.
I already have an active subscription — what happens if I buy a one-time block too?
It doesn’t grant access immediately or get wasted. The extra time is banked and automatically starts being used the moment your current subscription ends, so nothing is lost by buying ahead.
Can I pause my access instead of cancelling?
No — this is a deliberate limitation, not an oversight. A pause/resume option would let a single payment fund indefinite access (unpause, download whatever’s new, re-pause, repeat forever), which defeats the point of paying for ongoing access at all. Cancelling stops future billing; buying again later always works.
What if I want to switch tier or duration on an existing subscription?
Cancel your current subscription’s renewal from your account page — your access continues until the current period actually ends, it doesn’t cut off immediately. Once it ends, buy whichever new tier or duration you want; there’s no separate “upgrade” flow because access doesn’t differ by tier, only price bracket and how long you’re paying for.
Can I get a refund?
Sales are final except where required by law. Because access is delivered immediately on payment, EU consumers are asked to separately confirm they understand this and are waiving their statutory 14-day withdrawal right before checking out — see the full License Agreement & Terms of Service for the complete terms.
