Wyrd Simulation

The Wyrd mass emergent-simulation layer is a complete relational, epistemic, and world-scale orchestration ecosystem designed to run complex open worlds containing massive numbers of simulated entities. While traditional simulation frameworks restrict identity to active agents, Wyrd broadens the concept of actorhood to any persisting, influential element—including factions, regional economies, weather cells, and global director systems. By operating on top of a highly optimized data substrate, Wyrd decouples complex social reasoning from object-oriented constraints, enabling thousands of distinct elements to coexist and interact concurrently.

At the heart of the runtime is the revolutionary paradigm of Divergent Truth, where every individual actor weaves and maintains its own imperfect, subjective record of the world. By shifting relationship and memory management into sparse, belief-driven data columns, characters organically form inconsistent opinions, trade rumors, and act on historical grudges, creating highly sophisticated systemic conflict without hand-scripted behavior trees. This organic emergence can be softly or rigidly guided through an optional dramatic orchestration layer known as Beats, allowing designers to apply deterministic physical forces over the column state-space to align systemic simulations with core narrative milestones.
